• Recognized as FOSS (Free Open Source Software) Centre, a Spoken Tutorial Initiative by IIT, Bombay.

• IBM Software Center of Excellence.
• The department boosts student Cloud competency through the Microsoft Ed-Vantage program.
• The department has successfully conducted TEQIP-III RTU(ATU) sponsored State Level Hackathon, attracted approximately 600 students, faculty, and industry experts (2-3 Feb 2019).
• IoT (Internet of Things) Lab has been developed in the session 2019-20 for providing hands-on experience on small wireless sensor devices and heterogeneous communicating objects. 

• Publication of 5 patents by faculties in 2025-26, reflecting a strong commitment to innovation and research excellence.
• Dr. Anil Chaudhary is recognized as “Best SPOCs” in Infosys Campus Connect Program.
• Naveen Jain awarded for Best Teacher in IT Teaching by Triton Education Achievers Award and conclave 2023, Jaipur.
• Ms. Dolly Mittal is recognized as All India Topper in “Artificial Intelligence” Course by IIT Delhi from Swayam NPTEL.

• Dr. Sunita Gupta was felicitated for Excellence in Education Award by Institute of Technical and Scientific Research, Jaipur (September 2020).

Student Level Achievements and Recognition 

• Total of 176 IT students secured placements in 2026, demonstrating strong career readiness and industry alignment. Out of all students 5 students of final year got the highest package of 11 LPA of 2026 batch.
• Total 5 students successfully qualified the GATE 2026 exam. among them final year student Rohit Batra delievered an exceptional performance, an AIR of 179, and an impressive GATE score of 853.
• Total 22 IT students certified SOC Analyst (EC-Council) in 2026.
• One of the student from 3rd year Mohit sharma got reputed AWS Certified cloud practitioner certification from amazon web services in 2026.
• One of the student Tanmay Khatri from 3rd year secured the 2nd position in Technothon-An idea competition, organized by the IE(I) student chapter, Depratment of EE, SKIT on 31st Janurary, 2026.
• One of the Team of IT - Team Strynox (Kratika Sharma, Shrishti Patel, Bhavesha Shah, Sachin Sahu, Jai Khandelwal) Grab the Second position across India (amount 30,000/-) in "Hack The Future with AWS - A Gen AI Hackathon" Organized by AWS academy on 06th October 2025.
• One of the student Kanishk Jain of 6th sem IT presented his project named "Smart Ignition and Surveillance Device" at Project Expo 2025 held at Swami Keshvanand Institute of Technology, Jaipur on April 9, 2025 and won the First Prize and a Cash Prize.
• One of the Team of IT (Kshitij agarwal ( Team Leader ), Kanishk jain, Prerak khunteta, Manish Sharma ) Grab the first position (amount 50,000/-) in Hackathon held in MNIT tech management fest Sphinx on 9-10 November 2024.
• One of the teams from the department was declared as winner at Jaipur zonals in Techfest organized by, IIT Bombay from 16th to 18th December, 2022.
• Many students of the department were selected in the top 14,000 students out of 2,00,000+ students called for the SIH-2019 Finale.
• 9 Students got Internship opportunities in IBM for 6 Months in IBM Hack Challenge-2018 at Bangalore.
• 3 students got selected for civil services.
• Many students have been Certified in various FOSS Courses (IIT, Bombay) under Spoken Tutorial Training Program and in Swayam/NPTEL Courses.
• The placement records of the department are excellent. The students are placed in highly renowned companies namely Infosys, Microsoft, IBM, TCS, Cognizant, Infogain, and several other IT companies.
