A1:       SKIT is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Department of Technical Education, Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

Q2:      To which university SKIT is affiliated?

A2:       SKIT is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota established by the Government of Rajasthan. Our institute holds First Rank (1st Rank in Engineering Programme) in Rajasthan amongst all RTU affiliated colleges for the last 7 consecutive years i.e. 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24.

Q3:      Is SKIT an autonomous Institution?

A3:       Yes, SKIT has been granted autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and affiliating university i.e. Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota. This milestone empowers us to innovate our curriculum, introduce new courses, and enhance the quality of education.

Q4:      Is SKIT accredited by NAAC?

A4:       Yes, SKIT is the only technical institute affiliated in Rajasthan to have A++ grade by NAAC in first cycle.

A9:      The medium of instruction is English.

Q10:    Is college uniform compulsory for students at SKIT? What is fee for uniform?

A10:     Yes, the college uniform is compulsory to maintain a culture of unity and parity among the students. The cost of the uniform which includes 7 items is Rs. 5400/- (including 12% GST) for two shirts, two trousers, one blazer, one half sleeved pullover, one tie, one belt, socks (two pairs). Black leather shoes with laces must be purchased from college counter/outside shops. The cost of shoes is Rs. 600/- (including 12% GST) at college counter.

Q1:      What is the eligibility criterion for admission in B.Tech. programme?

A1:      Academic Qualification: Candidate must have passed class-12 exam with minimum 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category) in the respective subjects as mentioned below:

Q2:      Is there any age limit in REAP-2026 admission Process?

A2:      No, there is no age limit.

Q3:      Is the candidate with class-12 from NIOS Board eligible for admission in B.Tech. programme?

A3:      Yes, the candidate with class-12 from NIOS Board is eligible for admission in B.Tech. programme.

Q4:      Is the candidate who has compartment in any subject in class-12/DVoc eligible?

A4:      No, the candidate must have passed all the subjects (without compartment) in class-12/ Diploma before the last date of filling of REAP-2026 application form/ Management quota.

Q5:      What is the seat matrix under Self Financing Scheme (SFS) category for admission in B.Tech. programme at SKIT?

A5:      The division of approved intake for B.Tech. programme is as follows:

Q6:    Is there any provision of supernumerary seats (other than approved intake) for admission in B.Tech. programme?

A6:     Yes, the following schemes are available for admission in B. Tech. 1^st year course:

6.1 TFWS Seats:  5% additional seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to the economically backward class of Rajasthan State with a family income lesser than or equal to Rs. 8 Lacs p.a. from all sources. Candidates should select the appropriate option to indicate income while filling REAP-2026 application form. These seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of merit by REAP. An income proof is required at the time of admission.

6.2 KM Seats: 5% seats in each branch are reserved for the candidates whose parents have migrated from Jammu & Kashmir State. A certificate to this effect by the competent authority is required at the time of admission.

6.4 PMSSS Seats: Additionally, a total of 20 seats in different branches are reserved for candidates belonging to Union Territories (UTs) of J&K and Ladakh who have passed 12th exam from J&K/ CBSE board affiliated schools located in J&K and Ladakh. The family income of the candidate should be less than or equal to Rs. 8 Lacs p.a. from all the sources for applying under PMSSS category. The application and allotment process for the admission under this category is governed by AICTE, New Delhi which can be located at https://www.aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in/. AICTE provides scholarship to meet the expenditure towards Academic Fees (other than non refundable fees) and Maintenance Allowances to the candidates admitted under this category.

Q7:      Does the candidate need to apply separately for TFWS/EWS seats through REAP-2026 ?

A7:      No, there is no need to apply separately for TFWS/EWS seats by the eligible candidates.

Q8:      What is the REAP code of SKIT?

Q9:    What is the priority of basis of admission for B.Tech. through REAP-2026 ?

A9:    Merit and Priority for admission in first year of B.E. / B. Tech is:

* Note: Minimum 20 percentile in JEE (Mains) is required for considering priority 1st  

Q10:   Is domicile certificate required for Rajasthan candidate and out of Rajasthan candidate in REAP-2026 ?

A10:   Yes, the Domicile Certificate issued by the e-Mitra/ competent authority/ respective Govt. is required at the time of reporting.

Q12:    Is there a provision of management quota for admission in B.Tech. programme at SKIT?

A12:    Yes, 15% seats of approved intake in each branch are reserved for all candidates. They have to apply in person for admission in B.Tech. programme under management quota at SKIT Campus, Jaipur only.

Q14:    How to apply for online REAP-2026 Application cum Registration Form for admission in B.Tech. programme (other than Management Quota)?

A14:    All candidates must follow the following steps for admission in B.Tech. programme while filling the online REAP-2026 Application cum Registration Form on REAP-2026 website- https://reap2026.com 

14.1 Step-1: Submission of Application cum Registration Form fee.

14.1.1  Application cum Registration process is completely online process. Candidates are advised to fill it carefully.

14.1.2 Fee for REAP-2026 application cum registration form (online) is Rs. 885 (750/- + 18% GST) (non-refundable/non-transferable).

14.1.3 The application form will automatically become active after successful payment of Rs. 885 (750/- + 18% GST) as Application cum Registration form fee.

14.2 Step-2: Filling of online Application cum registration form and College Choice form.

14.2.1. Candidate must read instructions carefully before filling the online application cum registration form.

14.2.2. Candidate should keep all the required documents including photograph and signature with them for hassle free form filling.

Document Checklist for REAP-2026 Registration Process

The scanned copies of the supporting documents are required during the REAP-2026 registration process as per the details mentioned below:

14.2.3. Candidates have to upload Photograph and Signature in JPG format and all other requisite documents in PDF format as given below:- Scanned image of his/her Photograph (file size up to100 KB), Signature (file size up to 50 KB), Mark sheets of class 12th Science or Diploma , Different Category certificates (file size up to 150 KB for each document).Uploaded photograph and signature should be clear and documents should be legible.

14.2.4. All mandatory entries in online application cum registration form must be filled.

14.2.5. Candidates are advised to fill College Choice form after successful completion of application form, the candidate can fill as many choices as available to him/her. 

14.2.6. The changes are allowed in Online Application cum registration form and College Choice form before final submission i.e. before pressing the “Submit/Lock” button on the web portal.

14.2.7. It will not be possible to make further modification in Application Form and / or College Choice Form in any circumstances after successful submission by pressing the “Submit/Lock” button on the web portal.

14.3 Step-3: Candidates will receive confirmation E-mail/ message at registered E-mail ID/ Mobile no after successful submission of Application cum Registration form and College Choice form.

14.4 Step-4: Candidates must take Printouts/ Hardcopy only after final submission of online application form and college choice form.

Q15:    Is physical presence of the candidate mandatory at the time of reporting at allotted college?

A15:    Yes, the physical presence of the candidate is mandatory at the time of reporting at the allotted college.

Q16:    What are the documents required for admission in B.Tech. programme at the time of reporting?

A16:    Candidates must carry original documents along with their self-attested photocopies for verification of the eligibility of admission at the time of reporting. The list of supporting documents is mentioned below:

16.2 Original and two sets of photocopies of Class-12 (10+2) or equivalent exam Mark sheet

Q17:    Is medical fitness certificate mandatory for admission in B.Tech. programme?

A17:    Yes, the prescribed medical fitness certificate duly signed by a doctor (which is available on REAP website) is mandatory at the time of admission.

Q18:    What is the college fee for B.Tech. programme?

A18:    The fee for SFS, EWS & KM categories approved by the State Level Fee Determination Committee (appointed by Govt. of Rajasthan) and/or Competent Authority is as follows:

- Caution Money (one-time & refundable) of Rs. 7,500 is included in the I semester fee.

- *Subject to approval by State Level Fee Determination Committee.

Q19:    What is the boys/girls hostel fee?

A19:    SKIT provides air cooled hostel facility for boys & girls separately. The Nirwana Boys Hostel has single occupancy & Noran Girls Hostel has double occupancy in the Institute premises. The hostel charges including lodging & boarding are given below:

A20:    Yes, a fleet of 14 buses provides pick-up and drop facility to the students from various points covering almost all areas in Jaipur city and offers to ensure a hassle-free and safe transportation. A23:    No, we do not have any admission office/branch anywhere in the country.
