A1:      SKIT is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Department of Technical Education, Government of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

 

Q2:      To which university is SKIT affiliated?

A2:      SKIT is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University (RTU), Kota established by the Government of Rajasthan. RTU conducts the examination and awards the degree.

 

Q3:      Which rank does SKIT hold amongst all the affiliated colleges under RTU, Kota?

A8:      Yes, some of the engineering departments viz.  Electrical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering departments are recognized as a research centre by RTU, Kota to offer full/ part time Ph.D Programmes also SKIT has MBA programme.

A9:      The medium of instruction is English.

 

Q10:      Is college uniform compulsory for students at SKIT? What is fee for uniform?

A10:      Yes, the college uniform is compulsory to maintain a culture of unity and parity among the students. The cost of the uniform which include 7 items is Rs. 5040/- (including 5% GST) for two shirts, two trousers, one blazer, one half sleeve pullover, one tie, one belt, socks (two pairs). Black leather shoes with laces must be purchased from college counter/outside shops. The cost of shoes is Rs. 560/- (including 5% GST) at college counter.

Q1:      What is the eligibility criterion for admission in B.Tech. programme?

A1:     Eligibility criterion for admission in first year of B.E. / B.Tech. is:

Passed 10+2 examination with combination of subject from Physics/ Mathematics / Chemistry/Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject# / Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/Entrepreneurship/ Agriculture stream (for Agriculture Engineering) Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

OR

Passed minimum 3 years Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category SC, ST and Non-creamy layer OBC and Non-creamy layer MBC, PwD category only for relaxation in Minimum Academic Qualifications) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.

 

Q2:      Is there any age limit in REAP-2022 admission Process?

A2:      No, there is no age limit.

 

Q3:      Is the candidate with class-12 from NIOS Board eligible for admission in B.Tech. programme?

A3:      Yes, the candidate with class-12 from NIOS Board is eligible for admission in B.Tech. programme.

 

Q4:      Is the candidate who has compartment in any subject in class-12/Diploma eligible?

A4:      No, the candidate must have passed all the subjects (without compartment) in class-12/ Diploma before the last date of filling of REAP-2021 application form/ Management quota.

The admission process is as follows:

 

5.1 For Out of Rajasthan state and Rajasthan state candidates: Eligible candidates can apply through REAP website- https://cegreap2022.com/ by filling an online Application cum Registration Form as per REAP schedule.

 

5.2 For Management Quota: Candidates need to apply in person at the Institute premises for admission under this category.

     

Q6:    Is there any provision of supernumerary seats (other than approved intake) for admission in B.Tech. programme?

A6:      Yes, the following schemes are available for admission in B. Tech. 1st year course:

 

6.1 TFWS Seats:  5% additional seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to the economically backward class of Rajasthan State with a family income lesser than or equal to Rs. 8 Lacs p.a. from all sources. Candidates should select the appropriate option to indicate income while filling REAP-2022 application form. These seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of merit by REAP. An income proof is required at the time of admission.

 

6.2 KM Seats: 5% seats in each branch are reserved for the candidates whose parents have migrated from Jammu & Kashmir State. A certificate to this effect by the competent authority is required at the time of admission.

 

6.4 PMSSS Seats: Additionally, a total of 20 seats in different branches are reserved for candidates belonging to Union Territories (UTs) of J&K and Ladakh who have passed 12th exam from J&K/ CBSE board affiliated schools located in J&K and Ladakh. The family income of the candidate should be less than or equal to Rs. 8 Lacs p.a. from all the sources for applying under PMSSS category. The application and allotment process for the admission under this category is governed by AICTE, New Delhi which can be located at https://www.aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in/. AICTE provides scholarship to meet the expenditure towards Academic Fees (other than non refundable fees) and Maintenance Allowances to the candidates admitted under this category.

 

Q7:      Does the candidate need to apply separately for TFWS/EWS seats through REAP-2022?

A7:      No, there is no need to apply separately for TFWS/EWS seats by the eligible candidates.

Q15:    How to apply for online REAP-2022 Application cum Registration Form for admission in B.Tech. programme (other than Management Quota)?

A16:    All candidates must follow the following steps for admission in B.Tech. programme while filling the online REAP-2022 Application cum Registration Form on REAP-2022 website- https://cegreap2022.com/ 

15.1 Step-1: Submission of Application cum Registration Form fee.

15.1.1  Application cum Registration process is completely online process. Candidates are advised to fill it carefully.

15.1.2 Fee for REAP-2022 application cum registration form (online) is Rs. 295 (250/- + 18% GST) (non-refundable/non-transferable).

15.1.3 The application form will automatically become active after successful payment of Rs. 295 (250/- + 18% GST) as Application cum Registration form fee.

 

15.2 Step-2: Filling of online Application cum registration form and College Choice form.

15.2.1. Candidate must read instructions carefully before filling the online application cum registration form.

15.2.2. Candidate should keep all the required documents including photograph and signature with them for hassle free form filling.

15.2.3. Candidate have to upload Photograph and Signature in JPG format and all other requisite documents in PDF format as given below:- Scanned image of his/her Photograph (file size up to100 KB), Signature (file size up to 50 KB), Mark sheets of class 12th Science or Diploma , Different Category certificates (file size up to 150 KB for each document).Uploaded photograph and signature should be clear and Documents should be legible.

15.2.4. All mandatory entries in online application cum registration form must be filled.

15.2.5. Candidates are advised to fill College Choice form after successful completion of application form, the candidate can fill as many choices as available to him/her. 

15.2.6. The changes are allowed in Online Application cum registration form and College Choice form before final submission i.e. before pressing the “Submit/Lock” button on the web portal.

15.2.7. It will not be possible to make further modification in Application Form and / or College Choice Form in any circumstances after successful submission by pressing the “Submit/Lock” button on the web portal.

 

15.3 Step-3: Candidates will receive confirmation E-mail/ message at registered E-mail ID/ Mobile no after successful submission of Application cum Registration form and College Choice form.

 

15.4 Step-4: Candidates must take Printouts/ Hardcopy only after final submission of online application form and college choice form.

 

Q16:    Is physical presence of the candidate mandatory at the time of reporting at allotted college?

A16:    Yes, the physical presence of the candidate is mandatory at the time of reporting at the allotted college.

A18:    Yes, the prescribed medical fitness certificate duly signed by a doctor (which is available on REAP website) is mandatory at the time of admission.

A19:    The fee for SFS, EWS & KM categories approved by the State Level Fee Determination Committee (appointed by Govt. of Rajasthan) and/or Competent Authority is as follows.

* In addition to the above mentioned fee, the affiliating university (RTU, Kota) also charges the examination fee (per semester), enrollment fee (one time) and development fee (one time) etc. separately. The same is collected by the institute and transferred to the university.

*The above course fees may be revised by the Govt. of Rajasthan/Competent Authority. This stands applicable for the students admitted in the academic session 2022-23.

A20:    SKIT provides air cooled hostel facility for boys & girls separately. The Nirwana Boys Hostel has single occupancy & Noran Girls Hostel has double occupancy in the Institute premises. The hostel charges including lodging & boarding are given below:

A22:    Candidates can deposit their fees through one of following modes:

22.2 Offline: Cash/ Demand Draft in favour of ‘SKIT Jaipur’ at Institute premises.

 

Q23:    Can students avail education loan from a bank for their studies?

A23:    Yes, students can avail education loan from any Indian bank through Vidya Lakshmi portal https://www.vidyalakshmi.co.in/Students. Students can apply online and track the status of their application by accessing the portal.

A24:    No, we do not have any admission office/branch anywhere in the country.
