Introduction
SKIT Incubation Centre “SRIJAN” was established in 2022. Its primary aim is to foster and promote innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship by creating a supportive environment that enables the conception, realization, and growth of entrepreneurial ventures. The foundation is dedicated to cultivating an entrepreneurial culture and facilitating the development of knowledge-based entrepreneurship among students, faculty, and staff of SKIT, as well as aspiring entrepreneurs across Rajasthan. Through its initiatives, SRIJAN strives to contribute to the success of emerging ventures, encouraging sustainable growth and innovation within the region. The institute has an incubation cell with following Vision, Mission and Objectives: -

To foster a culture of innovation, problem solving, research and entrepreneurship for the betterment of the society and the nation.
Mission
To promote interest and research in path breaking tech driven ideas leading to entrepreneurship, while hand holding young start-ups and accelerating their growth through vital inputs, supportable mentorship and industrial connect.
Objectives

Encourage students to shift from job seekers to job creators by supporting them in launching their own start-ups and developing innovative projects/products.

Major Roles of Incubation centre
1. Infrastructre:
- Intellectual Infrastructure: A dedicated team from all departments to provide technical mentorship and support for projects and laboratories.
- Physical Infrastructure: Access to essential resources such as high-speed internet, computers, meeting rooms, student project areas, and a dedicated workspace available 24/7 for students and entrepreneurs.
2. Entrepreneurship & Support Mechanism:
Foster and nurture an entrepreneurial culture by creating a robust support system for aspiring entrepreneurs, empowering them to succeed.
3. Networking:
Facilitate opportunities for networking, allowing entrepreneurs to connect with industry experts, peers, and potential collaborators.
4. Mentorship:
Offer continuous mentorship to guide entrepreneurs, providing valuable insights, advice, and expertise throughout their journey.
Support for Commercialization:
Provide regular mentoring on various commercial aspects, including legal issues, government policies, and strategies for taking products to market.
Funding:
Generate and secure funding opportunities for entrepreneurial teams, helping them turn their ideas into successful ventures.
Major Responsibilities of Incubation centre
Ensure that all startups associated with SKIT Innovation Incubation Entrepreneurship Foundation (SIIEF) are officially registered with the incubation center, enabling them to benefit from the Rajasthan state government’s startup policy.
Foster collaboration by sharing institutional expertise in technology, knowledge, and management to strengthen and enhance Rajasthan’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Assist in building a network of angel investors, venture capitalists, and other financial partners in Rajasthan, providing crucial financial support to the state’s startup ecosystem.
Promote and encourage student-driven innovation, incubation, and startup initiatives through public forums, alumni networks, and relevant associations to raise awareness and visibility.
Share best practices and provide access to valuable resources and knowledge repositories, supporting the development of new programs and policies that contribute to Rajasthan’s innovation and startup ecosystem.
Facilitate the creation of a strong network of angel investors, VCs, and other funding sources in Rajasthan to fuel the growth and sustainability of startups in the region.
