The IEEE Student Branch Chapter – Transportation Electrification Council (TEC 802) was established in the Department of Electrical Engineering, SKIT, Jaipur, on 25 March 2026 under the IEEE Rajasthan Subsection. The chapter provides a professional platform to promote technical knowledge, innovation, research, and industry interaction in the field of electric mobility and sustainable transportation systems.

The chapter enables students to participate in technical workshops, expert lectures, industrial interactions, project competitions, hackathons, paper presentations, and IEEE conferences. It also provides opportunities to collaborate with academicians and industry experts, access global technical resources through IEEE, and stay updated with emerging technologies such as Electric Vehicles (EVs), Battery Technologies, Smart Charging Infrastructure, Renewable Energy Integration, and Smart Grids.

By actively participating in chapter activities, students develop technical competence, research aptitude, leadership, teamwork, communication, and project management skills, thereby enhancing their prospects for higher studies, research, entrepreneurship, and placements. The chapter serves as a strong bridge between academia and industry, fostering innovation and preparing students for successful engineering careers.
