After completion of this course, students will be able to:

C3EE4-22.1Determine the efficiency/voltage regulation of transformer by different tests and plot/sketch relevant characteristics through equivalent circuit representation.                          

C3EE4-22.2Investigate the essential conditions prior to the analysis of ‘load sharing in parallel operation’ and ‘Separation of core loss components in constant (V/f ) control mode’ of transformers.                             

C3EE4-22.3Demonstrate the phase-changeover from 3-Ф to 2-Ф using Scott Connection of two transformers.                         

C3EE4-22.4Interpret the performance characteristics of DC shunt motor by plotting speed with respect to control parameter variations for the specified speed control techniques.                           

C3EE4-22.5 Illustrate direct and indirect testing methods of DC machine, for assessment of performance characteristics, efficiency, and losses.
